Accomplishments {ACLS Certified!}

The moment has finally come that Melanie has anxiously been awaiting since she was hired at St. Mary’s. She has studied like crazy and is finally able to say that she is now certified as an Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support provider. The class really wasn’t as bad as she thought it would be, but it is still a relief that it’s over. She can finally enjoy her free time again (and spend more time with Adam), instead of studying or feeling guilty for her lack of studying.

Wedding {Five Months!}

We have reached the 5 month mark today!! The day is quickly approaching and we still have so much to do! So many exciting things to update you with. Soon to come: we have decided on entree options, finally picked our tuxes, Adam’s flower bench is almost done, AND we are making our own centerpieces.

Wedding {Bubbles}

We have completed yet another wedding project on the long list of projects. Wedding Bubbles! We decided a while back that we wanted to have bubbles for after the ceremony as we leave the church. So we started saving our 40% coupons for Joann’s until our collection was complete. Adam designed a logo to go along with our colors, and the ribbon cutting, whole punching, and bow tying began.

Home Sweet Home {Flower Bench}

Since we have moved into our new apartment, Melanie has come up with a lot of projects to decorate it. Well, now it is Adam’s turn! Adam has taken on a project to add seating and decoration to the balcony. With his “engineering background”, he was able to create a 3-D model on Google SketchUp. We will let you know how it goes!

Just Us {Saint Patrick’s Day Festivities}

Songs were sang, alcohol was consumed, and good times were had by all… at least from what we can remember. As we said before, we headed to Mount Pleasant yesterday for some celebrating. Best Moment: Papa John’s Pizza; Biggest disappointment: walking to O’kelly’s to find they were charging a cover. Here are some pictures:

Wedding {Wedding Gown}

My wedding gown arrived a few weeks ago, and I was finally able to pick it up last weekend! When I slipped it on, I stood there in disbelief. I was wearing MY wedding dress, the actual dress I would wear the day of my wedding. It was no longer a sample dress that didn’t fit properly, or a dress hundreds of other girls had tried on. MY dress was cleaner, whiter, and much more beautiful, and that was simply amazing.

Currently, my dress is hanging in the closet teasing me. I am not allowed to look at it, open the bag, or try it on until my first fitting. And now I will tease all of you…

Arts & Crafts {Chalkboard Tutorial}

Melanie found this chalkboard tutorial on Little Baby Garvin’s blog months ago, and fell in love with the idea of doing a weekly picture while pregnant to show the growth of the baby bump. Now, we are definitely not planning on using it for pregnancy pictures anytime soon, but Melanie wanted one to write cute messages on. She began searching every thrift shop in the Midland and Saginaw areas to find a large frame she liked, but never had luck. Finally, she found one she loved. It is a little smaller than we would have liked, but for $2.95 you really can’t go wrong.
