We spent the majority of our weekend in two stores, Macy’s and Bed Bath and Beyond. That’s right, we registered for our wedding shower! On Saturday, we spent the afternoon at Macy’s, where the lady we worked with was very energetic. On Sunday, we headed to Bed Bath and Beyond.
At Macy’s, the first thing that we had to register for was serving dishes that Melanie fell in love with even before we were engaged. Adam clearly remembers going into Macy’s about a year ago, before he proposed, and she said “We are registering for these!” Besides Melanie’s favorite serving dishes, we also registered for China, flatware, some cute popcorn bowls, some of our bedding, and so much more.
Adam enjoyed Sunday’s trip to BB&B much more than Macy’s. He loved being able to pick out knives and cooking utensils. He took this part of the trip very seriously, since he takes after his grandpa and loves working in the kitchen. Melanie’s favorite part was picking out things for bathroom and bedroom. Although Adam was secretly very opinionated about these things as well, he is grateful that Melanie stood her ground. If she didn’t, there would be basketball decor all over the house!
Here are some of our favorite things we put on the Gift Registry:
We picked out our dishes a few months ago from JCPenney, but we wanted to show them anyways 🙂
Serving pieces from Macy’s that Melanie has had her eye on forever
Our shower curtain and bathroom accessories, accented with dark purple towels and floor mats.
Our bedding, also accented with dark purple Euro pillows and throws.
All in all we had a lot of fun registering, but didn’t realize how much work it would actually be. We still have a few things that need to be added, but we are so excited with how much progress we have made so far. We can’t wait to recreate our home, and also have new pots and pans to use in the kitchen!
Much Love,
Adam and Melanie
