Well, today is the day! Everyone is finally in town and we are headed to Lola’s Bridal for {…drum roll please…} BRIDESMAID DRESS SHOPPING! We are not leaving the store until a dress is picked, so it’s crunch time. This is probably one of the things on my wedding to-do list that I am most excited for, only because I get to spend the day with all my favorite ladies. I can’t wait to find a dress they will all look amazing in! Wish us luck, because this is the most indecisive bunch ever, including myself.

Much Love,
Melanie

Pinterest project #3 complete! This time, Melanie made Ribbon Trees out of Styrofoam cones, ribbon, and sewing pins. Even though Christmas is right around the corner, she was dying to make some to decorate the apartment before the holiday was over. So sure enough, she headed to the store yesterday for her supplies, and today we have this:

Today was the Richter Family Christmas. It started off with a delicious brunch at Apple Mountain, and ended with playing games at Grandma’s. You can tell everyone is growing up because family gatherings are getting much calmer as each year passes. It was a great day spending time with the family filled with Christmas, the Lions, hedbanz, and bananagrams.

In an effort to avoid packing for our move to Saginaw,  we spent an evening making chocolate covered oreos for Christmas. Melanie loves making chocolate covered oreos for random holidays, and Adam always helps with the sprinkles (he gets the easy job). The original plan was to make a bunch and send them out to friends and family, but with the price of postage that could get expensive. Instead, we just may bring them to our family gatherings… if we don’t eat them all ourselves first! 🙂  This year, we made them with Christmas sprinkles, but next year we are thinking crushed peppermint on top. Here are a few pictures to make your mouth water.

Just Us {New Car!}

It’s true what they say, everything always happens at once. As if Adam’s new job and planning a wedding wasn’t exciting enough, we bought a new car! It’s a 2009 Pontiac G6 in white, and it is breathtaking! We sure hit the jackpot on this one, not only does it have automatic locks, windows, and headlights, but there is also a sunroof, an automatic start, and a light dimmer in the rear view mirror. Although Melanie will be the primary driver, Adam is as excited as a kid at Christmas. He pulled it out of the garage and spent at least a half hour taking pictures of his new beauty. But don’t let Melanie fool you, she is just as excited. She has been listening to “Like a G6” on repeat every time she gets in the car!

Much Love,
Adam & Melanie

Today was Adam’s last day working for the Midland Community Center. Ironically, he worked there for exactly 52 weeks, not including his internship. It was a bittersweet feeling. Although he is moving on to bigger and better things, it was hard leaving the place where he got his start. He has gained a vast amount of knowledge in his experiences at the Midland Community Center, as well as formed many relationships with his colleagues, whom he now considers friends. He will miss the days of table tennis tournaments, running Ryan’s errands, and going to the Golden Retriever.

As an unemployed man for the next three days, Adam plans to spend his time sleeping, celebrating, and packing for the big move happening next week.

Come Monday morning, he will start his job as the Recreation Programmer for the City of Frankenmuth, full of new lessons, experiences, and colleagues. We will keep you updated on how his new job goes, as well as all the exciting events coming in the next few weeks!

Much Love,
Adam & Melanie
