Today was Adam’s last day working for the Midland Community Center. Ironically, he worked there for exactly 52 weeks, not including his internship. It was a bittersweet feeling. Although he is moving on to bigger and better things, it was hard leaving the place where he got his start. He has gained a vast amount of knowledge in his experiences at the Midland Community Center, as well as formed many relationships with his colleagues, whom he now considers friends. He will miss the days of table tennis tournaments, running Ryan’s errands, and going to the Golden Retriever.

As an unemployed man for the next three days, Adam plans to spend his time sleeping, celebrating, and packing for the big move happening next week.

Come Monday morning, he will start his job as the Recreation Programmer for the City of Frankenmuth, full of new lessons, experiences, and colleagues. We will keep you updated on how his new job goes, as well as all the exciting events coming in the next few weeks!

Much Love,
Adam & Melanie

Our lives have been extremely hectic these past few weeks!

Adam is still working hard at the Midland Community Center and has picked up a part time job at Dunham’s Sports. Although he is busy with work, he is still managing to put in a lot of time on the golf course.

School is wrapping up for the summer, but that doesn’t mean Melanie is any less busy. Her parents decided a week ago that they are moving at the end of June and things at the Richter household are getting a little crazy. While entertaining at times, it has been quite a chore going through all the things that have accumulated in the past 19 years. She has even managed to spend some time with Jenna and score a few interviews… hopefully one will turn into a job!

Our first camping trip of the summer has already come and gone, and we can’t wait to get back out into those woods! The 19 mosquito bites on Melanie’s legs just weren’t enough. So, let us know if you are interested in a camping trip!

Garage Sale this weekend! 🙂

Much Love,
Adam & Melanie

Hello Everyone! Thank you for visiting our blog. With many changes coming up in our future, we wanted to find a way to keep our family and friends updated on what is going on in our lives. With that being said, here is our first post:

After graduation, Adam’s internship offered him a position as an Athletics Assistant at the Midland Community Center. Adam was finally able to move out of Melanie’s parent’s house at the end of January and get his own apartment in Midland, Michigan very close to work (and by “his own apartment” we mean his own apartment that Melanie has decorated and spends a lot of time at as well…). This winter, Adam spent a lot of his time coaching the Midland Basketball Academy 6th Grade Boys Basketball Team with his co-worker TJ. The team got off to a rough start with a record of 0-8, but they were able to finish their season 7-2, which made Coach Adam very happy.

Melanie’s internship on the other hand, was not so generous. She has been continually searching for a job in her field, but has so far been unsuccessful. Melanie started working as a substitute teacher for Saginaw Township and Midland Public Schools, which has definitely been an adventure in itself. While she isn’t busy shaping the minds of future world leaders, she is continuing with her creativity and love for bead work. Melanie is currently working on a collection of home decor/kitchen items. She is decorating anything from serving utensils to glass plates and bowls, and hopes to be selling some pieces soon.

Wedding planning has also been keeping us pretty busy, but we are loving every second of it. There will be more details on that in our next post 🙂

Much Love,
Adam & Melanie
