Now that the wedding is over, we have been able to spend some time fixing up the house to make it feel like our own. The first step?… FINALLY doing something about that master bedroom. When we moved in, we decided we would buy a bedroom set after the wedding. Since we also wanted to paint the room, we decided there was no sense in putting furniture in it. Instead, we moved our furniture into what will be the guest bedroom, and we’ve been camping out there ever since. Well friends, we spent all last weekend painting, and the room is ready to go!

In case you don’t remember what it looked like when we moved in, here are some before pictures:

And this is what it looks like now:

DO you see that glorious closet?! Melanie can’t wait to get all her clothes/shoes in there and out of the boxes!

We will have grey bedding accented with purples. We already have some dark purple curtains that the previous owners left in the living Β room. With the help of Grandma P, Melanie will be cutting/sewing those to fit the windows.

The furniture will be arriving in the morning, which means tomorrow night we can officially move in to the MASTER BEDROOM!

What do you think of the new color?
Don’t forget to check back soon to see what the furniture looks like!

Much Love,
Adam & Melanie

In case you didn’t already know, WE’RE MARRIED!!

“A wedding is a party, not a performance. If at the end of the day you are married to the one you love, then everything went perfectly.”

With that being said, it was a beautiful day. The weather was absolutely perfect. We were surrounded by 200 family members and friends to help us celebrate. The food was amazing, and the band put on a good show. The dance floor was full the entire night. We managed to get most of our projects done in time, and our guests thought the room looked beautiful. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better day. Not a single thing went wrong, at least not that we know of. But the best part?? On that day, we became husband and wife, and that’s really all that matters.

We are still patiently waiting to see our professional pictures (the one above is the only sneak peek we’ve been given) but we can’t wait to post them when we get them!!

Much Love,
Mr. and MRS. Muszynski

This past month of wedding planning has been serious madness. Of course it probably didn’t help that we decided to throw a big move into the mix, but my goodness, this has been without a doubt, the fastest month of our lives. We are afraid to blink because we might miss the wedding if we do!

So in case you are wondering what we have been up to the past month, here it goes:

Once August 3rd came, we had to call the remaining guests we still hadn’t heard from to reach a final count. Once that was done, the seating chart began, and talk about work. “These people can’t sit by these people. This person has to sit by her. We can’t separate these people. Where can we put this person. These people need to be next to their cousins. You can’t put them by the kids. Oh, this person isn’t coming anymore.” AHH! Needless to say, we have FINALLY reached a seating chart that should please everyone. And if not, we are sorry, we did try our very best.

Although we had the favor designs done a while ago, we still needed to put them all together. This was actually the least tedious task of all and was completed during a night of watching The Bachelor.

Our table numbers were perfect. We designed them on the computer and we were finally able to print them. Then came the big hiccup. Luckily, Adam was not giving up! He got everything ironed out… and then we couldn’t find any frames we liked.

The centerpieces were something that had Melanie worried from day one. We made them all ourselves and as the wedding got closer and closer, we began to wonder if we could actually pull it off. Were we EVER going to find all the supplies we needed? Well, in the final days of planning, they were finally finished and turned out perfect. And that is probably the biggest check off our to-do list thus far.

Another prolonged project that we should have finished by now: PROGRAMS. We are just adding the finishing touches, but if it weren’t for Colette, Terry, Lauren, Tonya, and Shana, we don’t know what we would have done!! Thanks everyone!

Melanie got a trial run of her wedding hair, which means she has officially decided how she wants to wear it!

Last but not least, we FINALLY got our wedding bands back!

And of course, as soon as we seem to be making a dent in our list, we remember more things we have to do. AHHH!

We still have so much to do, including finishing up the programs, making place cards, picking up our marriage license, paying bills, and making sure everything is where it needs to be on the day of the wedding. But don’t let us fool you, we are still finding the fun in all our big projects. And hey, the Bachelor and Bachelorette Parties weren’t too shabby either.

Much Love,
Adam & Melanie

8 days!

Well, here is a weekend recap… a day late. Get ready for this action packed weekend! Sorry for the delay, moving and wedding planning tend to take up a lot of time πŸ™‚

Friday got off to an early start (for Melanie having the day off). She had to meet the carpet cleaners bright and early at 8:30am. When she arrived at the house, she noticed all the neighbors had their trash out, so she rushed to drag/toss the heavy bags out to the curb in time for the truck to drive by the house. Apparently, FRIDAY is trash day! The rest of the day was spent doing last minute packing, taking boxes to the house, and of course, watching the Opening Ceremonies of the OLYMPICS!

Saturday was another early morning for us. Adam and the guys had the task of moving all of our furniture, while Melanie had her third and final BRidal Shower.

After the Bridal Shower, Melanie returned back to the house with her mom and sister, and the unpacking began. With the unpacking came a masterpiece in the garage, formally known as the Leaning Tower of Boxes.

After all that hard work, it was Margarita Time!!

Sunday was another eventful day! First of all, we had to return our furry friend to her owners 😦 . We got some furniture delivered from Adam’s parents, AND we got our washer and dryer hooked up. That’s right, we now have our very own WASHER AND DRYER! πŸ™‚

Sunday afternoon we headed to Linwood to celebrate Grandma Mary’s 75th Birthday with the rest of the Richter clan. We finished the weekend off watching the Olympics, but most importantly, Women’s Gymnastics!

See… we told you it was eventful! Could we have possibly stuffed anything else into this weekend… we think not!

Can’t believe it’s already Tuesday! This week is going to fly by!

Much Love,
Adam & Melanie
